Goal: Decode the hidden quote by figuring out which letter substitutes for which.

  • A famous quote has been encoded with a substitution cipher – each letter is consistently replaced by a different letter.
  • Click a cipher letter in the quote to select all instances of that letter. They will highlight together.
  • Click a letter from the on-screen keyboard (A–Z) to assign it. All selected instances update at once.
  • Click Clear on the keyboard (or click the same letter again) to remove an assignment.
  • Spaces, punctuation, and capitalization are preserved – use them as clues!
  • Undo reverses your last assignment. You can undo as many times as you like.
  • Decode the entire quote correctly to win. Take your time – there is no penalty for mistakes.

Difficulty levels:

  • Easy – Short quotes with 1–2 letters pre-filled as hints.
  • Medium – Medium-length quotes, no hints.
  • Hard – Long quotes, no hints.
